I've figured out that whole Dilana not in the Bottom Two but not getting the most votes either crap. BUT or is it BUTT as in AAAISSH!??! Yahoo Entertainment has all but confirmed that the fix was in at the start. You'll see it in the article below, just scan to near the end of it. I won't type anymore and will await next season's hotly anticipated RockStar:Hanson, Find Us Anotha Brutha Puleease! http://entertainment.tv.yahoo.com/entnews/eo/20060914/115827420000.html  There's two things from last night's show that are glaring at me in the face. I accept Lukas as the new SuperDude, but a couple of things are not ROIT: (1) When did Dilana fronting the House Band become the new backup band for the tour? I thought the deal was that a bunch of the rockers would be touring with the House Band. Also will Ryan be on this trip as well? I thought I heard mention of that last night. (2) Oh yeah. Dilana was *NEVER IN THE BOTTOM TWO*!!! Doesn't that mean she got the MOST VOTES???? When Tommy announced Lukas, he said he had to listen to the fans and bring in the one with the most votes. That should have been Dilana by all rights as she was guaranteed a spot there. Am I drunk??? Brooke told Magni, Toby and Lukas that at some point they were in jeapardy. Hmm, I think I'm forming a thought as to why this is so, that *isn't* a crackpot theory. Maybe someone can explain the voting process to me so that my head... doesn't... ARRRGHHHH... SSsssssPIN!!!! We knew right from the start of week one what was going to happen. Even if we wished it weren't true. That was a predictable and truly SUCKtastic show last night. The rehashing of the rehashed songs was something I could do without. Listening to SuperOopsWeStoleThisName with Lukas up front was pure torture. Not even Lukas' incredible stage presence could save the songs from the SUCK. Now I can go back to my own reality and sleep a little more on Tuesday and Wednesdays again! I will also save money by not wasting it on any SuperHmmWhatDoWeCallOurselvesNow CDs or MP3s. I definitely won't be trying to get front and center at any concert where I'd have to rub elbows with the Rossi Posse'. I did both after RS:INXS but I'm an old freak that remembers the good old days when INXS brought the RAWK and had an EDGE. So, cheers to everyone and EVS to everyone. Someday, my favorite type of windy, rainy weather will be mine. Oh yes, she will be *Largely* mine!!! Uh oh Uh oh oh OH! That's the only explaination I can come up with for his totally Zayra-like answer for what he was going to sing for his bottom three: The exact same song that got him there. I think he knows the writing on the wall as well. He's going to win and there's nothing he can do to stop it. The problem is EVERYONE on the show knows the SuperNova songs suck big time. So, they're trying to set themselves up to be on the tour with the backup band. Probably a better gig since that band has much more polished musicians with better chops. Go back to the performance show and try to listen to Lukas' set again. It was pure torture and his voice is horrific but the SuperNova Boys just can't get enough of him. The last couple of weeks he's been throwing it away. He walked into the songwriting clinic unprepared but he should have remembered from last year that's how JD won RS:INXS. His performances I don't think have measured up to the other singers. He's a space case but at least he's not a girl, which is a bad break for Dilana, the other space case. Toby and Magni are in there just for the ratings. They are awesome singers and performers. Arguably, Toby has proven beyond a shadow of doubt that he can not only lead SuperNova but make it thrive. That he's easy on the ladies eyes doesn't hurt that much either. Magni has a great presence and a powerful voice on stage but he doesn't have that 'tude that SuperNova's looking for. I think they'd be stupid not to pick Toby at this point with all the momentum he's generated in the last few weeks but we already know that these guys are effed in the head. Lukas is the clear front runner. Dilana has shown some real problems and, sorry ladies, she's a girl. So, Toby and crew will fire up the audience for the tour before Lukas and SuperNova suck the life out of them. Actually, both Lukas and Dilana were horrible and underwhelming. They were NOT, as Brooke put it, "great" or even "amazing." Lukas' rendition of Bon Jovi had me fast forwarding through it so my head wouldn't explode from the crappiness of it all. His original sucked as well. He just went back into his old singing habits that the guys were riding him on for the last few weeks. But the Super Suckups just lapped it all up and told him he was great. He'll be bottom three but won't go home. It would be interesting if the Magni affect happened again and Toby, Dilana and Lukas ended up in the bottom three. SuperNova would be triple-ly screwed! It will probably go as planned and Storm or Magni go home. With the suckiness of the SuperNova songs being readily apparent to us, the viewers, you've got to wonder if it's the plan of the front runners(Dilana & Lukas) to throw the competition. Good luck with that as SuperNova has obviously narrowed it down to D&L with Toby making a very very VERY compelling case for himself. (1) Dilana is untouchable. She can wind up in the bottom three, sing a quirky song that has absolutely NOTHING to do with RAWKING and completely Eff it up and still not get eliminated. I love that song. But last night proved that only Talking Heads can do it justice. (2) The song writing for SuperNova is absolutely abysmal and the main guys, Gilbey, Jason and Tommy are nothing more than glorified side-men living off the fame of the bands they were either kicked out of(Guns and Roses), gave up on(Metallica) or irrelevant(Crue). The only reason that song rocked was because of Lukas. As much as I don't like his voice, his stage presense is undeniable and his take on the crappy music is much better than what any of the SuperFreaks could come up with. Like Tommy said, he *is* a rock star. (3) Dilana and Lukas: Final Two. Toby and Magni: Wild Cards but eventual double elimination fodder. Storm: Outside Looking In. Toby and Magni will have to do something absolutely horrificly bad next week I think to be kicked out first. Storm is just not ROIT. I *will* be feverishly looking for more Storm pics on the Internet though... hubba hubba. :: Next Page >> |
