#2.) I posted early on that my "Mission Statement" for blogging on this site was to look at Rock Star - SuperNova through the eyes of a fan of Season One's Rock Star - INXS.
What I may not have made "as clear" at the time was that I am a HUGE reality TV fan and of Mark Burnett produced shows in particular. Especially SURVIVOR and THE APPRENTICE.
And so my "2nd tier" mission is to note any similarities in "style and/or content that is the "Mark" (NPI) of a Burnett produced TV show.
Example... Week 9 of SURVIVOR (as we are watching it on TV) Day 27 for the Castaways... They always get "Mail from Home" but only the winner of that weeks REWARD challenge gets to see a VIDEO from home.
So this weeks... MAGNI gets to see his baby in Iceland is right out of The SURVIVOR playbook. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)
But I digress...
The Appretice where Donald Trump is the "ultimate "Hatchet Man" often fires people for being STUPID!
THAT is why JOSH was kicked off the show tonight. IF TOMMY LEE specifically asks you to "Put down your guitar" and you for all practical purposes flip him the bird and say... "F" You, THAT is gonna get you fired from ANY job interview NOT just RockStar-SuperNova.
I think Josh WANTED to go home. I think he did the same exact thing that PHIL did... He adopted the "I'm in this for myself" attitude... HELL! He even adopted the Phil "Bobble Head" wobble... ONLY he did it ten times more often then Phil ever did.
AND... then he did the same thing Patrice did when she thought she was going home last week. He said... IF I am gettin' kicked off, then I am going to go out singing the song that I want to sing... The way I want to sing it. And SCREW Tommy Lee.
I for one... amd GLAD he is gone. Anybody who doesn't TRY. Should be sent home immediately.
And THAT's all I have to say about that.
EXCEPT... I am sorry to see JILL go. Once again she whipped those two white boys asses with her performance and they had to drag out the ol' "Tara Slone Memorial" 3 Times in The Bottom 3 is just too many Award to justify getting rid of her on a night she clearly out sang BOTH RYAN and JOSH.
She did EXACTLY what they "praised" Lukass for when he did his "Rocked Out" (really sucks) version of The Stones LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER.
Gilby said: (Not that we ever would, but...)IF we ever did a cover version of a Stones Song... THAT's the way we would do it.
IF... (not that they ever would but...) They ever did a ROCKED out version of an R&B song like RESPECT... That is what it would sound like and IT SOUNDED GREAT!

Not that I am pissed that RYAN is staying... At this point, HE does have a better chance of leading SUPERNOVA than does Jill.
He has balls.
