Rock Star: INXS has had its fair share of plots and sub-plots. We've seen JD stir up confusion and controversey in the house. We've seen Marty rise to the top by being nothing short of magnetic and mysterious. And, we have seen the 'nicey-nice' side Mig Ayesa for the past seven weeks of this gig.
However, one of the greatest stories of Rock Star: INXS has no doubt been that of Jessica Robinson. The 26-year old rocker from Chicago, Illinois who found herself in what could be called 'Bottom Three Hell'.
Even though INXS and Dave continued to acknowledge the sexy rocker with accolades and improvement critiques, Jessica continued to register at the low-end of your global votes. After 4 trips to the Bottom 3, Jessica's journey on Rock Star: INXS ended last week.
Rock Star Go Home caught up with Jessica to chat about many things, including her favorite cereal!
RSGH: Prince or Madonna?
Jessica: Hmmm.... That's a tough one... Prince!
RSGH: McDonald's or Burger King?
Jessica: Burger King.
RSGH: Favorite cereal?
Jessica: Now, that's a good one. I love food. I'd have to say frosted mini-wheats or Lucky Charms.
RSGH: Do you save the marshmallow of the Lucky Charms til the end or do you eat all at once?
Jessica: Nope. I eat all at the same time!
RSGH: Favorite rock band?
Jessica: STP! Stone Temple Pilots!
RSGH: You're stuck on an island for one month... Which musical icon would you want with you and why?
Jessica: Gwen Stefani - I think she's incredible both from a rock and from a fashion perspective. I thnk I could learn a lot from her. She's really is amazing. So much energy. I've seen her live too. In fact, that concert was one of my first dates with my fiance.
RSGH: FYI, many fans write to RSGH saying that they want to marry you. I wasn't going to bring that up.... BUT.... When are you two getting married?
Jessica: Ummm. That depends. It could be real soon.
RSGH: What does it depend on him or you?
Jessica: Both. We're just trying to figure out a time that works for all of us... Our families and friends and such.
RSGH: Breakfast Club or Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
Jessica: Breakfast Club.
RSGH: What cds are in your car right now?
Jessica: Green Day, Audioslave and INXS.
RSGH: Did you have a favorite performance during the show?
Jessica: Ummmm. I had fun with a few - Blister, Purple Haze and Elegantly Wasted.
RSGH: What was your most memorable moment during Rock Star: INXS?
Jessica: Wow. That is a tough one. Hmmmm. Let me think. I'd have to say it was our night out at the House of Blues. We got to see Camp Freddy play live and I got to see Scott Weiland do his thing. That was amazing. I'm a huuuuuge fan. Yep. That was it.
Camp Freddy did an amazing cover of 'Paradise City' by Guns and Roses. Cypress Hill was there as well. It was amazing.
RSGH: What's your favorite movie right now?
Jessica: I'm not typically like this... but right now I'm into The Notebook. I don't know why.... I just really dig it. Also, we saw Wedding Crashers the other night. That was pretty funny.
RSGH: The cameras have been on you and the other rockers for months... Yet, we only get to see a few hours of that tape each week. What do you think most viewers would be surprised to learn about the cast that isn't public knowledge?
Jessica: Really, that's a good question. I'd have to say it is the true, good nature of everyone auditioning. Every one in the house was genuine and real. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN! It was an amazing experience.
RSGH: Is there any one in particular that you became super close with?
Jessica: Yes. Deanna. We share similar backgrounds. We've been in similar situations. I can see us being friends for a long, long, long time.
RSGH: Time for the tough question... Why do you think you were in the Bottom Three so often?
Jessica: I think people can be blurred by me... By how I dress... By how I simiply am just who I am. I'm just me being me.
Come to think of it, being in the Bottom Three over and over again wasn't such a bad thing. I mean, I got to perform a lot! So, people got to see me do my thing! Pretty good exposure.
RSGH: What's your favorite color?
Jessica: Black!!!
RSGH: What's your take on the male / female debate? What is INXS really going for?
Jessica: Ya know. I think those guys are completely open. They could be so open they don't even know just yet what they're looking for.
RSGH: If you were them, who would you want fronting your band of the remaining seven?
Jessica: They are all super talented, but... Marty fits my style of rock a little better than the rest.
RSGH: So... What's next for you?
Jessica: I'm gonna get with band, lay down some demo tracks and hopefully get a deal in the very near future. Eventually, I want to tour the world as one of the new female-led bands... It's been awhile since one of those has come around.
