As for Ryan Star... Great. Fantastic. But the Goo Goo Dolls? Too mello. Drawn out song selection here again. Again, give me some edge. Ryan needs to get a little dirtier to front a band with Jason Newsted on bass.
Toby Rand, the mate from Australia.... A bore for me and waaaayyyyy too clean. Not his fault. He doesn’t have the look for Supernova but the voice could be there. In my opinion, it’s a long shot for Toby to front this band.
Patrice Pike? She can fucking sing. But, how long can you stare at her for? The voice is there. And she’s got a lot of confidence if she’s going after a Jefferson Airplane song.
Magni, the Icelandic guy. He could be awesome with a Judas Priest track or Godsmack song. That’s what I see Tommy and Jason being into. But ‘Satisfaction’ was the wrong song again. Satisfaction just doesn’t do it. Jaggar’s vocals are more talking than anything else.
Zayra Alvarez - That chick is sick! She needs a little make over toward the punk edge. Not that she needs a nose ring and tattoos but a little more Westernization could help her. Her voice was fucking awesome. Good song selection. Evanescence. That’s what the others should have been gunning for. That chick is hot and talented enough to break America.
Jenny Galt was too Paris Hilton, too fragile for me. Too vogue. Not raw enough. She’s hot but too styled to front Supernova. Good musician though. She can definitely play guitar while singing.
Jill Gioia? Tiny little Jill. Cool. Nailed the whole song but the last note. Not too many but Janice Joplin can hit that. “A” for effort but “B” for bummer. Reminded me of when Jordis botched the Aerosmith note from “Dream On” during Rock Star: INXS.
Dilana: That chick was wild. She’s got the salt of the Earth in her. Total opposite of Jenny. Dilana is an artist. She’s like Burning Man meets Prodigy. I dug it. I liked how she stood still and then went off like a rocket. The producers found someone cool in Dilana. I was impressed with that one.
Matt Hoffer... Real estate guy kinda killed Yellow. Wrong song.
Phil Ritchie: All I can say is that Ty Taylor controlled that song last year. Ty killed it. Phil was very karaoke. Didn’t dig it.
Dana Andrews - Cool, young girl singing Melissa Etheridge tunes doesn’t fit with Tommy, Jason and Gilby if you ask me. There are a lot of hot girls out there that can sing. Just pick the right song.
Chris Pierson? Well, there it is... ROCK STAR GO HOME!!! THAT WAS AWFUL! Roxanne is the most modern track around. Nothing compares to the genius of the Police. You can not modernize the Police!!!
Lukas Rossi? Is the “A+” plus winner. But, if this guy has been living on the street, how does he afford the make-up? The guy is modern. Good match to the Billy Idol song! The weird sound and look could be a fit for Supernova. Tommy’s reaction was great when he threw the mic down and declared, “ROCKSTAR!”. It’s early. But that’s probably you’re winner. The guy is perfect.
Last but not least, it was great to Dave on tv. I'm looking forward to a big jam with all these guys rocking it on stage.
