Storm Susan Large - Rock Star Contestant Biography
(July, 2006)
Storm Susan Large was born in the bucolic little enclave of Southbro, Massachusetts. From about five years of age, Storm Large could sing, pick out harmonies and make up lyrics. Storm Large quickly outgrew her surroundings and the disapproving looks from her father, Henry.
At 14-years-old, the once blond little angel, Storm Large, was a six-foot tall mohawked and pierced non-conformist who between running away and defying authority, found her real talent of blowing people away—through singing.

Somewhere during highschool, Storm Large remembered that she could sing and sang her way through the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
Not down with the theatre crowd, Storm Large started her first band, Flower SF. Then came Dirty Mouth. Then Storm Inc.

In 2002, Storm Large shifted gears and went to the Culinary Institute in Portland.
There, Storm could not resist her friend's requests and she formed the cult band The Balls.
Great name, right?
The Balls have collected a devoted following of fans who not only witness one gorgeous, sexy, fearless babe with balls-to-the-wall, tear-the-house-down vocal chops, but an oftentimes ingenious stage performer. A formidable, commanding and one-of-a-kind performer with an inspired, beautiful and ferocious voice, Storm’s been described by some as almost transcendental. To put it in more simple terms, you’re never bored when Storm’s in the house.
In four years, The Balls have racked up more touring gigs than all of her previous bands combined. How do fans love Storm? Let them count both the ways and the lanky inches, for there are many, many, many of them. But the rocker’s impressive height is certainly not the only stand-out quality that makes Storm Large so exceptionally memorable. Even if she wasn’t six feet tall, you’d still feel like a midget standing next to her—so enormous is her talent.
Susan 'Storm' Large currently lives in Portland, Oregon. Her birthday is June 25, 1969.
