As David Goffin, Rock Star Supernover Producer, shared during an exclusive one-on-one interview with Rock Star Go Home, "There's no ghost of Michael Hutchence this year. Supernova is new with no history."
True. The Rock Star Supernova Contestants will not have to "fit" in. They won't have to 'sound' a certain way. They won't have to 'move' a certain way.
Supernova, The Tommy Lee Project, is a tabula rosa.
That's gotta be a good feelling for Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke. The need to conform is sooooo NOT rock, perhaps more pop-rock, more INXS, right?
That liberation might propel us all to vote, vote, vote for who we want to claim the title of lead singer of this new and mighty band, Supernova.
It's also quite ironic. The concept of a 'new band' with the core ingredients of rock and roll legends. I mean each of Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke are from rock stalwarts - Motley Crue, Metallica and Guns N' Roses.
Also, these guys are on the older side. Still, their need for loud music, hot chicks and more loud music will get them on the road and in the studio for another shot at the next best gig.
